Morson Talent is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Head for an exciting permanent relocation opportunity at Qatar Shipyard in Doha.

Qatar Shipyard offers an exciting opportunity for professionals to make a significant contribution to some of the most advanced marine projects in the industry. We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s degree in business studies, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master’s degree and certification in a relevant discipline (e.g. CIPD, PHR, SPHR) is required for this role.

The successful candidate will hold an abundance of related experience within a managerial position, preferable in the shipyard insdustry.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of the organisation’s development and classification policies and procedures. This includes establishing, managing, and administering organisation design, manpower planning, and employee engagement. You will also oversee employee relations by implementing policies and procedures and managing multi-tiered approaches to HR services, including policy governance, employee services, grievances, and disciplinary and separation processes.

Key Accountabilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for management, providing expert HR advice, guidance, and updates on HR matters. This includes supporting managers in guiding them on employment matters and influencing management around the people agenda to maximise service performance.
- Identify HR priorities from corporate and departmental plans, translate business requirements into effective HR practises, and deliver people solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the manpower optimisation initiatives and identify strategies for optimal utilisation of the workforce to achieve more efficient structures and cost efficiency.
- Develop and deliver a robust employee relations and engagement strategy that aligns with people’s priorities and looks beyond today and into the future.
- Continually monitor, maintain, and update employee relations and recruitment policies and procedures, staying up-to-date on legal issues related to employment and employees and proposing best practises for all HR policies and procedures.
