A&P Falmouth- Machinest 

We are currently looking for Machinest to start at A&P in Falmouth on a Permanent Basis.

Starting salary circa £33k per annum rising to £35k per annum from April 2025 + overtime and shift premiums

Job Summary

• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and vertical and horizontal boring machines to manufacture ship components and parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Machine parts to precise tolerances and specifications using appropriate tools, techniques and materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
• You’ll have experience as a Machinist or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment or will be eager to learn and be trained to our standards of work.

• You’ll be able to interpret and understand technical drawings
