Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant (Contract)
Location: Hull
Salary: Competitive Rate (Outside IR35)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a contract position to support a leading company within the energy sector. This is an OUTSIDE IR35 role with flexible working hours, requiring commitment of 1 day per week. There may be certain weeks where additional work is required, depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Forecasting Project Costs: Use past knowledge and industry research to forecast project costs accurately.
- Estimation Reports: Create detailed estimation reports for project managers and construction leads to support decision-making.
- Collaboration with Project Managers: Work closely with project managers to assess and determine resource allocation for optimal project delivery.
- Risk Management: Anticipate potential risks in the project lifecycle and develop strategies to prevent them.
- Budget Creation and Adjustment: Develop, adjust, and maintain project budgets based on project requirements and scope changes.
- Scope Management: Continuously assess and adjust project estimations based on changes in scope and project requirements.
- Post-Project Review: Assess completed projects to identify areas of improvement for future projects and to ensure best practices are implemented.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Estimator role within [insert relevant industry].
- Strong knowledge of cost forecasting, estimation, and budgeting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and provide timely reports and updates.
- Experience managing risk and creating solutions to prevent delays and cost overruns.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail in adjusting and managing budgets.
- Knowledge of project lifecycle and the ability to suggest improvements.
