The Role:
My client is seeking a Control Panel/Equipment Test Engineer to inspect, test, and commission electrical and instrumentation panels/systems in both in-house and on-site environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring all systems meet specifications and deadlines while maintaining strong customer relationships. You will also assist with control panel wiring and modifications on-site when required.

Salary: Up to £40k

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, test, and commission electrical and instrumentation panels.
• Work both on-site and in-house to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
• Assist in building and wiring control panels as needed.
• Perform modifications to new or existing panels on-site.
• Liaise with customers to ensure that work meets their requirements.

Qualifications:
• City & Guilds 2391: Test & Inspection certification.
• City & Guilds 2382: 18th Edition certification.
• Time-served electrician/instrument technician.
• Proven experience in testing industrial control panels, commissioning systems, and control panel wiring.
• Familiarity with small bore pipe pressure testing.
• Strong understanding of 3-phase systems, MCC control panels, PLC systems, and schematic drawings.
