Morson Talent are working with a major player in the Energy Sector who have a current requirement for Quality Engineers (x2), to join their Supplier Quality Development Team (SQDT). These positions will support and manage the Project Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Item (CFSI) arrangements associated with the construction of one of Europe’s largest infrastructure Projects based in the South West.

Operating Environment
- The SQDT is responsible for acting as the ‘Intelligent Customer,’ in the capacity of ensuring that quality arrangements are in place and effectively implemented by the supply chain to control manufacturing activities across the Project delivery programmes.
- The SQDT is accountable for delivering quality improvements within the supply chain across all Project Areas.
- Quality Engineers will interface across multiple functional organisations including the external supply chain, Business/Project Quality Management, Project Management, Surveillance & Audit teams, and the internal Business Improvement team.
Principal Accountabilities
Quality Engineers will:
- Support the development of CFSI arrangements for deployment across the Business/Project
- Coach and train Quality Teams in CFSI
- Provide regular CFSI reporting to Internal Stakeholders
- Ensure maintenance of CFSI related information and data on relevant Business/Project platforms
- Coach and train Supplier Teams in CFSI
- Conduct CFSI Assessments with Suppliers
- Investigate and report on potential CFSI issues
- Lead or support the resolution of confirmed CFSI
- Share learning & good practices across the supply chain
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- An academic background or understanding of Quality Management, including best practice for deployment by large, complex and contract-led organisations
- An understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control within Manufacturing, major projects or organisations
- Good understanding of the risks and impact of CFSI in complex manufacturing supply chains
- Demonstrable experience in Continuous Improvement with a sound knowledge of manufacturing improvement techniques
- Appetite for regular, solo international travelling
- The ability to influence and to provide constructive challenge which is accepted by others
- Confident and articulate communicator, able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, able to speak and present material to a large audience
- Able to interface between project teams and with supply chain organisations
- A team player who recognises how their position impacts and influences others
- Excellent IT skills – MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work effectively and consistently with Office 365 SharePoint and Teams collaboration platforms
Desirable
- First-hand experience in the nuclear sector or other safety critical/highly regulated industry
- Knowledge of QA/QC codes and standards
- Knowledge of special manufacturing processes, such as Welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- An HNC / HND qualification or degree in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification
- First-hand experience in ensuring compliance with international standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 19443
Desirable
- Trained and experienced in the use of Positive Material Identification (PMI) techniques
- Working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute & Chartered Quality Professional
