We have an exciting new opportunity for a TECHNICAL AUTHOR to be based at our clients premises in West Cumbria.

About the Role:

To produce a suite of compliant, professionally produced Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documents within defined timeframes.
Interrogating engineering/ design and vendor information to produce the System Overview Documents (Volume B) and to enable the collation of Vendor documents (Volume D).
Reporting directly to the Commissioning Support Manager.
Providing weekly progress updates.
Attending progress meetings.
Checking verification requirements in Commissioning Test Documents
Ensuring Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
Ensuring quality standards, and consistency are applied throughout the range of documentation being produced.
Supporting the development of a collaborative project culture in line with Collaborative Working Plan.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

Nuclear background.
Minimum HNC in an appropriate discipline.
Previous Technical Author experience.
IOSH Working or Managing Safely.

Design Tools/Software:

Microsoft Office suite, specifically: Word, Excel, Visio
