NRS are looking for a Joiner to join them on a long term contract basis based at the Dounreay site.

Location: Dounreay Nuclear site, KW14 7TZ
Duration: 12 month ongoing contract
Rate: £32 - £40k per annum

Job Description
Vacancies have arisen within Site Services for joiners. The purpose of the post is to perform general carpentry work. The individual will be involved with the repair, alteration or maintenance of buildings and all related structures.

NRS estates have an in-house team of joiners dedicated to maintenance of the the site buildings and also supporting
projects across the Dounreay estate. The successful candidate should have a flexible, proactive approach, have a good
work ethic and be able to contribute to the team, willing to work overtime to address a significant and diverse workload.
Good communication skills are necessary. Safety and technical ability is important. Familiarity with risk assessments
and other safety related paperwork would be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:

• Joiner tasks will include, but not be limited to:
• Internal refurbishments
• Basic shuttering
• Suspended ceilings
• Window replacements
• Undertake formwork, machinery and bench-work joinery
• Undertake general building fabric maintenance
• Control and complete work orders
• Carry out other non-trade tasks as identified by your supervisor
• Perform the responsibilities of Management Appointments relevant to the post

Aptitudes and experience:

• Time served tradesman with comprehensive experience in construction
• Demonstrable joinery experience
• Driving licence would be advantageous
• Good technical problem solving skills
• Ability to read drawings and experience of Permit to Work system would be advantageous
