Senior Setting Out Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Setting Out Engineer to join the new Sizewell C project in East Anglia. This role will be based in their Rendlesham office 5 days per week 7am until 5pm Monday to Friday but with the occasional weekend if required 7am until 1pm.
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part-time approach where possible.
The Senior Setting Out Engineer will support activities in the field relating to the design checks, and contractors setting out on site. Ensuring Contractors build in accordance with design drawings.

Youll support the delivery and compliance of the works. Reporting to the Project Manager of the area they are working in. programming and planning, their own activities with health and safety at the forefront of everything they do. You’ll work with Land teams and obtain all relevant permits to carry out site visits, always to liaise with site security to inform them of any access to unfenced areas.
We are looking for a great team player and an excellent communicator.

Key Highlights:

Collaborating with construction leaders to embed safety into every phase.

Ensuring the List of Deliverables (LOD) relating to the scope of work is delivered.

Setting out using the latest GPS systems and total stations.

Being able to produce reports and RAMS for the work they are carrying out and use Auto CAD.

Ensuring that the company obligations as Principal Contractor are fulfilled within the
area of responsibility.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Background in construction, good knowledge of CDM Regulations and a proven track record of their implementation.

Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility.

Ability to organise and lead a project team and facilitate decision making on complex issues among multiple parties.

Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.

Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Auto CAD experience and a valid CSCS Card - essential.

Ideally you’ll come from the Construction or Civil Engineering sector.

Desirable

Strong track record of engineering, construction, or other related field.
