Morson Talent, in partnership with EDF, is seeking a skilled Interface Engineer to join the Sizewell C (SZC) Project-one of the UKs largest and most exciting infrastructure projects. Following the success of Hinkley Point C, SZC is now under construction and set to provide low-carbon energy to six million homes for the next 60 years, playing a key role in Britain’s Net Zero 2050 ambitions.
The Role
Sitting within the Civil Works Programme (CWP), which has a total value of approximately £9bn, this role supports the co-ordination of workstreams across the three key delivery sub-programmes:
? Enabling & Earthworks
? Main Civils & Ancillary Works
? Marine & Tunnelling
Working alongside the Interface Project Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining smooth integration between various project elements, ensuring alignment across Site Delivery, Nuclear Island (NI), Conventional Island (CI), and Site Operations.
Key Responsibilities
? Interface Coordination: Act as a key link in the CWP Interface Management Plan, ensuring seamless integration across multiple disciplines.
? Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address interface challenges, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
? Reporting & Documentation: Produce clear, standardised reports to highlight key risks, resolutions, and project performance.
? Milestone Management: Develop Interface Milestone Definition Sheets (IMDS) to track progress, dependencies, and risks.
? Problem-Solving: Use innovative thinking to minimise disruption while delivering best-for-project outcomes.
? Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work adheres to the highest health & safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
? Experience in Interface Management on complex infrastructure projects.
? Strong project management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
? Ability to navigate technical and commercial challenges, communicating effectively across all levels.
? Proven track record of managing stakeholder relationships, balancing competing priorities.
? Strong analytical skills, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery.
? Engineering, construction, or infrastructure background is highly desirable.
