The scope of works comprises of the Electrical System Design services needed to develop the electrical power and UPS schemes for 58 batches of buildings within a power station complex. This involves the development of the Power and UPS designs from Concept to High Level Design. Following this the provision of Procurement Specifications sufficient to market test and select product vendors. Following the vendor selection process, the design will progress through Low Level Design and the production of maintenance strategies and testing support.
Specific Duties Involve:-
• Deliver the Electrical Power and UPS Design element of the project to budget.
• Implementation of Telent Installation Design Electrical Schemes and Schedules and QSE procedures to all assigned project elements.
• Liaise and co-ordinate all Electrical Installation Design aspects with the Lead Designer, System Design Authority and Engineering Manager.
• Provide inputs to the Project Programme, liaise with planners, and client to co-ordinate project.
• Provide inputs to the Bill of materials for all aspects of site implementation.
• Provide inputs to Project monthly reports for issue to the client and business at defined intervals.
• Provide inputs to the design element of the project change control board.
• Provide inputs to the document control function for the project and ensure compliance.
• Provide inputs to the project risk register.
• Attend internal design reviews, engineering progress and planning meetings, produce meeting minutes & distribute where appropriate.
• Produce UPS and Electrical system designs in accordance with the Nuclear Standards and British Standards
• Report against programme to relevant Project Manager.
The role is remote from site (Home Based) with an opportunity to work outside of IR35
