Electrical Safety Engineering Manager

Join our clients Energy Division as an Electrical Safety Engineering Manager within the Central SHEQ Department. This role focuses on ensuring safe project delivery, compliance with legal requirements, and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all personnel working near electricity networks follow safety procedures and industry standards.
• Report to the Energy Division Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Director.
• Assess and certify staff competence for their roles.
• Maintain and enhance electrical accreditations.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for electrical operations.
• Lead the team to ensure consistent competency across all electrical work.
• Develop electronic field records and support business opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ideally educated to degree level, with membership in the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) preferred.
• Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH.
• Operational background, preferably with DNOs or similar organizations.
• Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671.
• Experience in team management and operational safety.
• Familiarity with power industry development and challenges.

Additional Requirements:

National travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.
