We’re looking for a talented Site Manager to play a critical role in our nuclear division. Based out of our Stone headquarters and working across client sites, this is your opportunity to step into a high-responsibility, high-reward position delivering essential infrastructure that keeps the nation running.
About the Role
As a Site Manager, you will be the driving force behind the on-site delivery of complex nuclear control system projects. You’ll oversee installation and commissioning works, manage site teams and subcontractors, and ensure everything is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Your strong background in electrical engineering will be key, as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring technically challenging projects to life while maintaining strict adherence to nuclear site safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation and client acceptance of nuclear control system projects in line with licensed site standards and local work practices
- Manage and motivate site teams of software and hardware engineers (typically 1–5+)
- Oversee subcontractors handling cabling, electrical, and minor mechanical works
- Conduct regular site progress and client meetings, preparing and sharing detailed reports and minutes
- Work closely with Health & Safety Manager to ensure a safe, compliant, and supportive site environment
- Assist with electrical installation, commissioning, testing, and interpretation of client specifications
- Conduct site surveys, produce installation drawings, and support project safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments
What You’ll Bring
Essential Requirements:
- Completed Client Contractors National Safety Group Safety Passport (Supervisor level)
- Health & safety training from accredited bodies (e.g. IOSH, CITB, RoSPA)
- First Aid at Work certificate
- CDM training relevant to site responsibilities
- Proven experience managing nuclear project delivery on-site, with strong results
- Awareness of NEC3/4 contracts and project frameworks
- Practical and proactive safety-first mindset
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel/stay away when needed
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance
Desirable Experience:
- HND or higher in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- IOSH SMSTS or CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (5-day course)
- Progress toward NEBOSH National Construction qualification
- Competence in electrical fault finding and Autocad
- Temporary Works Coordinator/Supervisor training
- Familiarity with nuclear licensed sites and supervisory responsibilities
- Experience with security system installations
