Senior Site Supervisor

As a Senior Site Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing site operations and supporting the site manager. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, quality procedures, and site documentation protocols. You will be tasked with maintaining site records and managing the productivity of direct employees, agency labour, and subcontractor resources. Additionally, you will coordinate materials in accordance with MES and National Grid’s policies and procedures. Your role will be crucial in driving project success through effective supervision, adherence to programme compliance, and the seamless execution of site activities.

Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Ability to manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct employees effectively
Proficiency in maintaining and organising site documentation
Competence in ensuring quality control and programme compliance
Experience in coordinating material resources
Effective time management and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Software/Tools:

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)

Certifications & Standards:

SSSTS Site Supervisor Qualification
City and Guilds / NVQ III qualified or above in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
Authorised as a National Grid Competent Person
Minimum of CSCS / CPCS / ECITB Supervisor Safety Passport / Card
Full First Aid at Work
