Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor – Asset Maintenance (Contract)
Location: Barnsley (5 days a week)
Contract Rate: £500 per day (LTD)
Contract Length: Minimum 6 months, likely to extend to 12+ months

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor with a background in rail projects to oversee asset maintenance work based in Barnsley. This role demands a proactive professional capable of providing robust commercial support and managing the financial aspects of maintenance projects within the rail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the commercial management of asset maintenance projects.
Conduct valuations, cost assessments, and progress reviews specific to rail asset maintenance.
Manage risk and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Produce accurate, timely reports and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor, specifically within rail projects and asset maintenance.
Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and valuation processes.
Ability to work independently and maintain organized, accurate project records.
