Contract Length: Ongoing

Morson International is proud to partner with a leading client in the transport sector to recruit an accomplished Assistant Project Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to drive multiple projects within Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), with a particular focus on Traffic Signal projects for London Boroughs and external developers. • Financial Oversight:
    • Manage the financial aspects of assigned projects.
    • Track expenses against the approved budget.
  • Project Reporting and Governance:
    • Support the Project Manager with progress reporting, risk and issue management, planning, scheduling, document control, and compliance with TfL’s project management methodology.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Familiarity with project controls tools and techniques.
  • Experience in managing projects within the transport, civils, or related industry, ideally in ITS.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards in high-pressure environments.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in project management (desirable).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, particularly in stakeholder and client engagement.

About the Role:

As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing small work packages and supporting project managers in delivering larger-scale projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in risk management, budget management, and on-schedule achievement of project deliverables.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and contributing to the overall Health and Safety culture.

This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to be based at either Stratford or Palestra, with 1-day per week attendance required in the office.

Why Morson?
