Painter - Body Shop

Morson Talent are recruiting for a long term Technician opening, ideally with past expeirence in painting or body shop repairs experience! Or if you are looking to get into the rail sector, this could be the job for you! We are working with an aesthetics Team at a live rail depot, where your expertise will make a real impact on the fleets appearance and condition. We would be open to speaking to people who have experience with painting / body shop repairs or experience of panel beating in the past.

What the role involves?

• Aesthetic Inspections: Examine units for visual defects and rectify them to ensure our fleet looks its best.
• Bodyside Repairs: Fix dents, scratches, and other damage to maintain the vehicle’s integrity.
• Painting: Perform roller and spray-painting on both interior and exterior panels, as well as underframe components.
• Decal Replacements: Keep our fleet looking sharp with timely sticker replacements.
• Floor Repairs: Address lino and vinyl floor damage efficiently.
• Graffiti Removal: Restore surfaces to their original state, both inside and out.
• Component Replacement: Handle minor mechanical tasks, such as replacing passenger seats and window components, following Vehicle Maintenance Instructions.
• Reporting: Putting work orders on the Asset Management system.

What do we need from you?

• Proven experience in vehicle body repairs, preparation or past painting experience
• Basic Mechanical / related background
• Reliability and excellent timekeeping, with a willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
