About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tendering Executive to join our dynamic team in the automation and controls sector. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of various fields including SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, Panels, Industrial Communication, Cyber Security and Networking. This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable with tender writing, tender pricing, and conducting site surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Prepare and submit detailed and competitive tenders for automation and control projects.
§ Analyse and interpret technical specifications and requirements.
§ Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
§ Develop cost estimates and pricing strategies.
§ Conduct site surveys to gather project-specific information.
§ Manage the ITT (Invitation to Tender) and RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes.
§ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
§ Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
§ Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and suppliers.
§ Monitor and track tender progress, ensuring deadlines are met.
§ Provide post-tender support and clarification to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
? Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the automation and controls industry.
? Strong knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, RTUs, Panels, Industrial Communication, and Networking.
? Familiarity with equipment from Siemens, Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.
? Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
? Background in instrumentation, electrical, or control systems.
? Valid UK driving license and the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not considered).
? Must be within travel distance of our Manchester office and prepared to commute.
? Preferably with an HNC/HND in a Control Systems related field, or a degree in a similar field.

? Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
? Comfortable with the ITT and RFQ processes.
