SPEN are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team in Liverpool on a contract basis.

Role: Analyst
Business: Scottish Power Energy Networks
Location: Liverpool L1 4DQ/hybrid style working
Duration: 6-month contract
Rate: £14.29ph + 36 days annual leave (accrued)

Responsibilities

  • Production of timely, accurate and relevant reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to provide commentary and insight on actual versus forecast performance and potential impacts.
  • Provide support for Regulatory Reporting submissions to OFGEM to ensure robust and accurate cost and volume information in reported.
  • Liaise with different business units to get supporting information on weekly reports.
  • Provide efficiencies through changes in current processes helping with automation in Microsoft Excel.

Skills & Requirements

  • Possess good communication skills when working with multiple peer groups and varying levels of seniority
  • Numerically articulate and commercially aware
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions.
  • Organised multitasker, able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, whilst achieving results.
  • Relevant experience in similar analyst positions.
  • Proficient in Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables)

Additional Skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP financials (not essential)
  • Knowledge of using Power BI or similar software (not essential)
  • Fully Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, i.e. Microsoft Word & Powerpoint
  • Experience of financial reporting within a regulated environment.
