About the client:

They are a leading offshore wind developer and operator with more than 20 years’ experience and a track record of approximately 7 GW developed around the globe to date. They cover the entire offshore wind value chain, including greenfield development, engineering and design, procurement, financing, construction management and asset management.

Role: Senior Specialist Metocean

Location: Can be based in either Germany, France, Denmark, UK or Sweden

Your future tasks:

- Metocean data analysis and early project support within the field of expertise, e.g., waves, sea ice, design basis, weather persistence analyses, underwater acoustic.
- Preparation of technical requirements, management, contracting, and supporting Offshore measurement campaigns
- Preparation of technical requirements, management and contracting hindcast, metocean, lightning and rainfall, and Sea Ice, underwater acoustic studies and dedicated technical evaluation and internal management of the studies.
- Maintenance and management of the in-house metocean Explorer and associated data
- Metocean data management with in-house and external data bases
- Hindcast analysis on demand with inhouse Python scripts and jupyter notebooks
- The metocean Manager supports the client with expert knowledge related to any metocean topic and during all stages of a project.
- Technical competences include, but are not limited to waves, currents, water level, sea ice, water properties, marine growth, and hydroacoustics.
- With the metocean expertise, the client relies on both your own knowledge and your capability to assess external service suppliers to provide best value estimates and predictions.

Your profile:

- Successful completion of an engineering or science degree, preferably in earth sciences, metocean or meteorology and several years of professional experience in offshore wind energy.
- Solid experience in leading technical topics across country boarders
- Experience in leading complex processes to a structured process control and maintain an overview even at high work pace.
- Excellent business proficiency in the English language
- Interest in working in an international team, strong communication skills, intercultural skills, team orientation and willing to travel
