My client
As one the largest Independent Solar Developers in Europe my client already owns and operates over 3GW’s of PV assets in France, Germany, and the UK. Now actively developing in Italy their growth strategy of land acquisition and M&A has already led to a predicted pipeline of over 1GW predicted by 2025.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Country Director, you will lead & actively grow the existing project team, you will manage and optimize the development of the Solar PV pipeline (greenfield and/or already partially developed) with the aim to achieve the ready to build status within agreed timeline and budget.
You will manage stakeholders like authorities, municipalities, designers, surveyors, and residents. Leading development part of due diligence for projects in acquisition by company.

The Responsibilities
• Set strategies for all projects to in order to optimize the development depending on the project conditions
• Manage a team of Junior/Senior developers and coordinate further hiring to expands the team
• Lead all permitting processes for the development portfolio (Environmental Permit, Building Permit)
• Secure Grid Conditions and a Grid Connection Agreement with the connecting utility
• Secure land access together with the Land Manager in the project team
• Conduct Due Diligence for development related matters during an acquiring process
• Be up to date with relevant legislation working closely with the Legal department

Qualifications & Experience
• At least 3 years of experience working as a Project Manager in renewables energy sector, preferably within the PV sector
• Solid experience developing solar PV, Wind, BESS or any other renewable projects
• Experience from the energy sector, preferably wind power or electrical grid, and/or fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment is meriting
• Team player with a delivery-oriented mindset that can handle parallel workstreams while managing budget and time plan
• Leadership and management team experience
• Minimum a bachelor’s degree, most likely in engineering, environmental science/law or any other related area
