I am currently recruiting for Pipefitters for our client at their site in Govan on a permanent basis.

The client’s shipbuilding business is growing, and we are recruiting pipefitters to fabricate and install pipework systems and utilities.

Ideally candidates need marine, heavy industry or oil and gas background for this role.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Fabricating and installing pipework systems in large and small-bore pipework using different materials (copper, cuni and carbon steel)
  • Using a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, solder and weld pipes
  • Installing utilities aboard the ship

Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Current knowledge and experience of pipe manufacture and installation, and use of associated equipment
  • Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height

Salary:

£37,318 (Shift allowance of 33% may be applicable)

Candidates will attend a trade test before receiving an offer and if successful will need to gain security clearance.
