We’re looking for a Manager of Contract Management. Based at our Capenhurst site, the purpose of the role is to define, implement and deliver a complete Contract and Claims Management support system at all Urenco locations who work in line with global standards, ensuring sufficient and scalable control on all projects. The Manager of Contract and Claims accountability and remit will include the development of all global support resources and accountability for the quality of contract management and claims output in Urenco’s global project portfolio. The role comes under a hybrid working policy, where you will be expected to be on site 3 days a week, with 2 home working days. The role will require the individual to travel, including travel to our international locations.

What you’ll do:
- Manage budget responsibility of Approx. €8,000,000
- The role will define the strategic direction, enhancing support capabilities within Group Projects and the Urenco organization, leading as a key input and subject matter expert to define, develop, align and maintain Urenco processes, procedures and training requirements on a global scale.
- This role will lead the definition and implementation of Group Projects, Contract Management and Claims function.
- Lead a team which will develop, implement, and govern contract management processes, templates, policies, and metrics and is ultimately responsible for the effective delivery of a contract management global function
- Accountability for the recruitment and development of a highly qualified geographically distributed team with personnel at Urenco operating locations controlling highly complex and large scale projects
- Accountable for alignment between the business objectives and global contract management and claims support
- Manage multinational and multi-level stakeholder expectations for project control across all locations
- Set a common standard across the Urenco group for Contract Management and Claims and monitor lessons learnt to ensure these standards are continuously improved
- Accountable for the development and implementation of a competency model, training and development plan, and certification for project personnel
- Proactively identify Business Unit and discreet Project resource needs and ensure the Project Support SLA is managed and reported to the business
- Monitor Business Unit and Program satisfaction and ensuring a high level of customer service internally
- Ensure Urenco’s commercial position is robustly protected through the application of industry best practice in contracting strategies, contractor and supplier selection, procurement, contract negotiation and contract management.
What do you need to thrive in this role?
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline
- Project Management or Project controls Qualification / Accreditation such as APM, PMI, AACE or equivalent
- Significant experience managing / leading a project support function
- Proven experience leading multi-cultural teams in several geographic locations
- Demonstrable experience across the entire project lifecycle, from concept development to hand-over
- Demonstrable success in project delivery
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience leading and developing organisational strategies
- Proven leadership experience and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Experience and demonstrable evidence in in managing complex hierarchical relationships
- Experience of and be skilled in managing ambiguity and being confident to take accountability for creating a strategic models and deliver that plan to meet the project requirements
- Demonstrable acumen in developing and implementing strategies that successfully deliver project to business objectives (safety, budget, cost, benefits) in alignment with industry best practices
- Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with multi- national internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical bias with attention to detail specifically concerning data collation, analysis and presentation
- Skilled in leading and influencing teams and individuals to success with minimal supervision
