VHDL & Electronics Development Lead
Location: Broad Oak, Portsmouth, 3 or 4 Days on site
Rate: £62.58 PH PAYE (£71.68 ph PAYE inclusive of Holiday pay) or £82.57 ph Umbrella

This is a technical role relating to the Digital Electronic design for the Archerfish programme.
The Role Holder will :-
• Integrate digital electronic and PLD design solutions for technology insertions into legacy products.
• Modification of detailed VHDL designs.
• Participate in all aspects of board and unit-level designs and including their interfaces with higher levels
Core Duties
• VHDL requirements analysis, design, code, simulation, test, integration and embedded IP.
• Design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques.
• Generate design documentation and technical reports.
• Interfacing with related disciplines.
• Assist the development of higher level system designs.
• Assist the development of technical requirement specifications
• Support system integration activities
Key Skillset
• Development of FPGA/CPLD designs
• Design proving, integration, and defect resolution.
• Gathering of evidence to support acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety.
• Will have a good understanding of how own activities integrate into the activities of a design team plus an understanding of the work of the design team.
• Will have a good understanding of how own design team integrates with other parts of the product design
• Will have an awareness of how cost and timescale constraints may impact business performance
