Job Opportunity: Civil Engineer (all levels)

Our client is on the lookout for a talented Civil Engineers to join their Nuclear Power and Engineering Technical Services (NPETS) team. As we support the UK’s nuclear fleet through an exciting business transformation and work alongside innovative small modular reactor (SMR) developers, this is your chance to make a significant impact on the industry’s future.

What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver complex civil engineering solutions across projects of varying sizes.
Produce design deliverables: technical specifications, assumption notes, and calculation reports.
Support the development of nuclear safety case inputs and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Perform technical verifications and maintain CDM Designer’s Risk Registers.
Engage with international SMR developers, contributing to the Generic Design Assessment process.
Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across multiple locations to deliver innovative solutions.

What We’re Looking For
Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering, ideally working towards chartership with ICE or IStructE.
Solid experience in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures within a design office environment.
Proficiency in finite element modelling and validation of design tools in a BIM environment.
Knowledge of Eurocodes (understanding of American codes is a plus).
Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear is highly desirable.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.
