Morson are recruiting Sheet Metal Workers on behalf of our prestigious defence client, for a 12-month initial contract, on site in Govan/Scotstoun. We are currently taking on application for anyone interested in the coming year 2025! Salary:

Local contractors

Standard: PAYE: £22.22, UMBRELLA: £25.22 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)

Nightshift/ Weekend: PAYE: £29.55, UMBRELLA: £33.36 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)

Travelling contractors

Standard: PAYE: £31.38, UMBRELLA: £35.62 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)

Nightshift: PAYE: £38.71, UMBRELLA: £43.76 (inclusive of holiday pay/hour)

Job Description:

  • Manufacturing and installing ventilation and furniture
  • Working to engineering standards, striving for quality first time
  • Using a range of hand tools
  • Hand skills required for manufacturing and installation purposes
  • Understanding of manufacturing and installation drawing
  • Open to sheet metal workers from the aviation industry this year.

Your Skills and requirements:

  • Modern Apprenticeship certificate also known as Trade Papers (you will be required to provide papers)
  • Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH risks awareness and manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
  • Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH awareness, working at height etc
  • Background in a major construction / manufacturing environment
