Hours: 4 on 4 off rotating days/nights shift pattern.

What’s the role?
As an Electrical Shift Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of advanced equipment, including cranes, CRMGs, and Straddle Carriers.
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.
- Address machine breakdowns promptly and ensure minimal downtime.
- Deliver safe systems of work by following SOPs and conducting risk assessments.
- Manage spare parts and materials to support operational needs.
- Embrace multi-skilled tasks, working across cutting-edge systems to expand your expertise.
What will you bring?
We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering background and an electrical bias, plus:
- Experience in PLC fault finding, diagnosing AC/DC motors, and working with variable speed controllers.
- Familiarity with ABB systems is essential.
- A minimum HNC (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant discipline.
- An understanding of electrical circuit diagrams and a proactive, safety-focused mindset.
- Willingness to work at heights and occasionally on cranes.
- Prior experience with container handling equipment (like cranes) is advantageous.
