During a night of celebrating the very best of in-house recruitment excellence and innovation, we are proud to announce that RPO1 powered by Morson, in partnership with Urenco, took away not one, but three awards!

Morson RPO1 win

The FIRM Awards take place every year as they recognise excellence in talent acquisition and are the largest awards ceremony for the recruitment industry. The three awards RPO1 with Urenco is proud to have taken home are Recruitment Manager of the Year (Sophie Lavers), Recruitment Effectiveness Award (for the Urenco RPO1 Talent Acquisition team, led by Daniel Perry) and RPO Team of the Year!

Recruitment Manager of the Year

Across the Morson Group, leadership and vision are the driving forces behind our company’s success. This is why we’re extremely proud to have won Recruitment Manager of the Year. The winner of this award is our very own Sophie Lavers. Sophie, who is part of the wider client relationship management team for RPO1, collaborates with clients to implement, transform, and oversee their outsourced recruitment programmes.

Sophie, who began her role at Urenco in November 2022, has vast experience in related and non-related industries. Sophie’s remit has been to leverage her knowledge to lead on implementing a completely new RPO solution for Urenco.

Sophie’s role has involved creating a smooth candidate journey, with new systems and processes. Despite the volume of new hires, the talent acquisition framework that Sophie has put in place has enabled us to reduce our time to hire from 90+ days to typically 50-60 days and average time to offer to 33 days.

Under Sophie’s management, the RPO1 team has received extremely positive feedback from both Urenco team members and candidates. Sophie and her team have been rated a 4.6/5 on the candidate approval form. One successful candidate praised the team by saying thank you for a positive experience throughout the recruitment process, and the support he’d received for any initial application queries, along with the approachable and professional support he’d received during the entire onboarding process.

Recruitment Effectiveness Award

Our recruitment functions achieve results through the quality and management of our processes. We are proud to say that our Urenco RPO1 Talent Acquisition team, led by Daniel Perry has won the award for Recruitment Effectiveness.

RPO1 powered by Morson was established in 2021 and transformed the traditional RPO model. The task for the team at Urenco over the past year was complex and business-critical. The team needed to establish a talent acquisition function from a standing start. This needed to be accomplished while the team simultaneously recruited talent for varied roles that needed to be filled as quickly as possible with candidates with the right skills and a good cultural fit for the organisation.

The team implemented the latest technology and recruitment tools, combined with the expertise of the RPO1 powered by Morson team, we have streamlined the recruitment process for Urenco. Our Systems drive huge efficiency gains and the technology allows us to process a large number of applications.

Our aim has been to design a recruitment process that is effective and candidate-focused. By reducing the recruitment time to an average of just 33 days indicates that we’ve made huge steps in that direction in just a year. By working together effectively, Urenco’s hiring managers and RPO1 Powered by Morson talent partners have delivered the roles required and exceeded expectations.

RPO Team of the Year

When choosing the winner for the Team of the Year award, judges look for exceptional recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) teams who are innovative, committed and deliver a quality service. This is why the RPO1 powered by Morson team has won the award this year!

The Lead Talent Acquisition Manager, Robin Brabyn said: “The RPO has been transformative for Urenco. The RPO1 team has been tenacious in ensuring that the necessary change and digital transformation have been implemented, challenging the resistance to change embedded at a cultural level at Urenco to work positively with our team to win buy-in and progress implementation effectively.”

We have laid the foundations for achieving more over the year ahead, balancing the need for rapid change with an acceptable pace for introducing the people and processes that will support growth.

All these awards are a testament to the dedication, expertise and commitment to excellence shown by all at Morson.
