Project Engineer
£27.75 - £36.70 per hour
Morson are currently supporting the recruitment of a project engineer for one of our prestigious aerospace clients based in Broughton. They are expanding operations and need a project engineer to install a paint shop to existing production lines with as little disruption to current operation as possible. will be accountable for delivering Projects aimed at enabling and improving the production processes whilst meeting safety, cost & quality requirements.
You will also be responsible for retrofitting the current system to bring it up to more modern standards. Therefore, we need Strong project management experience within an engineering environment or strong engineering experience within a project management environment. We’re offering this role on a 12-month contract, with opportunities of extension or permanent conversion. We can offer a rate of £27.75 per hour PAYE or £36.70 per hour Umbrella across a 35 hour week with uplifted rates for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Carry out process mapping and requirement definition.
- Ensure analysis, design, development, integration, functional and technical acceptance, deployment.
- Review activities in line with agreed budget, schedule and resources.
- Provide Financial Management such as cost benefit analysis, planning, estimating, budgeting, funding, managing project expenses, and billing.
- Create all required Project documentation according to the agreed Governance model.
- Ensure dependencies and risks are clearly identified, reported and managed.
- Identify and manage all risks relating to delivering the project to time cost and quality, including interdependencies with other projects or services.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a Production environment
- Experience as an engineer within a project team or experience as a project manager within an engineering environment.
- Strong stakeholder management & building customer relationships
- Able to simplify complex topics to make them understandable to stakeholders.
- Experience in Generating Technical Specification based on Operational Requirements
Desirables
- Project Management accreditation would be an advantage
- Familiarity with Click n Buy, FMEA, SWOT analysis, 5 whys, Fishbone Analysis, Flowcharts would be an advantage.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
