Composite Operatives

Morson are recruiting for candidates ideally with clean room lay up/composite lamination OR manufaturing/machine operating experience with transferable skills. This role will be based on site with a market leading aerospace manufacturers based in Burnley, Lancashire.

Weekend Shift:

Friday – 11am until 6pm.

Sat & Sun – 6am until 6pm.

Rates of pay:

£24.40 per hour. Pay rate is £15.74 per hour plus 55% shift uplift (£8.66) PLUS £3.55 holiday pay per hour . PLEASE ENQUIRE RE UMBRELLA RATES

This role will likely to 3-6 months on contract , although HIGHLY LIKELY to be made permanent.

Role overview:

To carry out Composites manufacturing processes working with various composite materials & mould tools of varying size & complexity, operating within & maintaining a clean room environment & controls.

Using 5S as the foundation for Operational Excellence, you will be expected to:

Utilise all control measures associated with composite manufacture.

Provide excellent quality products and superior service to internal & external stakeholders.

Develop ideas and propose solutions to reduce cost, improve quality & drive efficient ways of working in a Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement environment.

Develop a common culture of quality basics throughout the company, ensuring consistency throughout every level of the organisation.

Foster efficient & effective cross functionality with operations specialists’ processes.

Foster efficient & effective cross functionality/working relationships with quality and manufacturing engineering.

Candidate skills & requirements

NOT ESSENTIAL - Worked previously with composite materials (or relevant roles) requiring the dexterity needed to manipulate materials on various size, shape & complexity of mould tools.

Experience of working in an environmentally controlled environment.

Able to follow engineering instructions, following pre-defined work instructions.

Be a team player and have the ability to be flexible where required.
