Systems Engineer – Requirements Management
Huddersfield (onsite role) – 6 month contract – pay rate £41.87 p/h PAYE basic (£47.96 including holiday pay) or £55.25 p/h Umbrella
We are looking for a Systems Requirements Engineer to work for our defence client, you will be working from a key supplier site and main tasks will be to assist in the management of requirements and the setup of DOORS within the supplier organisation. Background in Requirements Management and use of DOORS are essential.
Typical duties include:
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on systems engineering and use of requirements management software tools (DOORS).
• Implement and integrate the necessary software tools into Engineering functions’ suite of software tools.
• Define and maintain the processes, workflows and best practices for Systems Engineering.
• Hold regular training sessions with the Engineering teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and drive a continuous improvement culture.
• Manage all product requirement sets and consolidated engineering risks for engineering products.
• Support cross functional system integration with other software platforms e.g. SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, MS Office.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, concepts, practices and standards.
• Engineering Knowledge of Product Development.
• Proven ability of implementing and working with Requirements Management toolsets (e.g. DOORS).
• SAP aware / user would be beneficial.
• Collaborative and proactive approach to ways of working within the Engineering teams.
• Ability to provide one to one training or group training sessions.
• Knowledge of BOM structure/ change control, Engineering and Manufacturing business processes desirable.
• Knowledge of Product Lifecyle Management desirable.

Please note, due to the sensitive nature of the projects involved, all candidates must be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level. If you are not currently SC cleared the client will sponsor a new application and you can start once the clearance is granted.
This role shall operate inside IR35.
