Logistics Administration

Role: Logistics Administration (JP951)
Location: Cranfield
Pay: £15.31p/h

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am until 17:00pm and Friday 8am until 13:20pm
Contract: Length of contract- 12 months with the intention to extend.

We are recruiting a Logistics Administration for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield. You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company.

Key Responsibilities of the Administration Officer:
Own the administration process for parts to and from client, to include:
- Delivery requests
- Supplier shipments
- Invoicing
- Learn the bespoke clients’ systems required to fulfil the role.
- Ensure a smooth and timely process for goods in and out, including prioritising urgent requests as necessary.
- Liaise with test groups to ensure parts are ready for dispatch and track progress to ensure on-time delivery.
- Track performance of parts logistics and provide clear reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost and capture knowledge.
- General administration duties for the test team for example:
- Ordering uniform
- Ordering general supplies
- Updating the organisation chart
- Minutes notation
- Demonstrate that part logistics are being managed in accordance with the section KPI’s.
- Ensure a strong relationship with service providers is maintained.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times to support NTCE projects.

Experience:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A positive ‘can do’ flexible attitude.
- Be able to manage and prioritise own workload.
- A good working knowledge of the Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc) for report writing and presentation preparation.

Qualifications:
- Ideally a strong background in logistics or a desire to train and own this area of NTCE business.
- Experience and/or knowledge of moving parts across borders is preferred but not essential.
- Experience of a busy office environment.
- 3+ years administration background.
- Ideally educated to a good GCSE level with grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
