We are recruiting for a Passive Safety Technical Officer for one of our automotive clients based in Cranfield.
You will be working for a globally recognised automotive company.
This is a long-term contract role. The contract is on an ongoing basis a may run for several years.
Key Responsibilities of the Passive Safety Technical Officer:
• Responsible for administrative items within the passive safety department
• Managing project milestones and deadlines, liaising with engineers and management to maintain scheduling is kept.
• Tracking design notes, test parts procurement and management.
• Managing crash test data database and producing reports with trends
• Crash test data processing including creating and issuing flash reports.
• Test vehicle management, including creating transport and/or customs requests.
• Attending regular projecting meetings and feeding back key information to the department.
• Organised and capable of effectively prioritising and completing tasks within short deadlines.
• Proactive approach to work, ability to work on own initiative.
• Delivery of administration tasks to support engineering team.
• Management and update of databases
• Reporting of key milestones to management team
Qualifications & Experience for the Passive Safety Technical Officer:
• Fully proficient with MS Office
• High level of computer literacy to adapt to new systems.
• Excellent organisational skills
• Proactive mindset
• Demonstration of excellent organisation skills
• Experience of data management and reporting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussing internally within the company and with external suppliers.
• Understanding of vehicle passive safety systems or vehicle development/engineering an advantage, but not mandatory
• Knowledge of coding may be advantageous.
• Highly self-motivated and driven, with high attention to detail.
• Ability to travel within Europe.
• Valid UK/European driving license.
Hours & Pay for the Passive Safety Technical Officer:
• Monday to Friday
• 39 hours per week
• £18.01 p/h
