Job Title: Plumber

Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Birmingham

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work full-time hours

Job Duties:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues using appropriate tools
• Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, and other professionals on plumbing projects
• Adhere to safety standards and building codes
• Provide estimates for plumbing projects and recommend necessary upgrades
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a plumber
• Valid plumbing NVQ 
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Full UK Driving licence 

Education:

• NVQ level 2 minimum 
• Might take time-served if over 10 years 

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing
• Experience in both residential and commercial plumbing projects

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and components
• Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in plumbing or related fields
• Experience with green plumbing technologies

Working Conditions:

• Work primarily indoors in residential settings
• May need to work in tight spaces or at heights
• Possible exposure to hazardous materials
• May require working on weekends or evenings based on project needs
