As a Maintenance Planner, your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate the planning and execution of maintenance activities to ensure the efficiency and safety of plant operations. This role is based in Essex. You will leverage mechanical planning methods aligned with the companys maintenance strategy, utilising the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to develop detailed Work Order (WO) task steps. This role involves estimating resource requirements, assigning necessary equipment, and ensuring the availability of materials and spares for maintenance tasks. You will also be responsible for developing planned maintenance and lubrication schedules, formalising maintenance outage plans, and managing technical documentation. The role requires a strong commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.

As a maintenance planner you will have:
1. Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems knowledge
2. Experience in Engineering or Maintenance within heavy manufacturing
3. Strong communication skills
4. Proactive problem-solving abilities
5. Ability to estimate task duration and costs
6. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance
7. Resource management and planning
8. Capability to manage third-party relationships
9. High attention to detail
10. Flexibility to work shifts and manage plant operations
Software/Tools:
- SAP
- Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Certifications & Standards:
- HNC/HND in a relevant discipline
- Recognised apprenticeship or BEng beneficial
- NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
