Our client, a leading Oil & Gas operator are currently recruiting for a Snr Project Engineer / Cybersecurity on a long term contract basis.

Job Profile Summary
The Senior Project Engineer - Cybersecurity will drive regulatory compliance with Cyber Security standards and legislation by enacting a programme of risk assessment and targeted modifications. They will maintain all Risk Assessments and procedures related to Cyber Security for Operational Technology and remain current with all threats and policy developments relevant to ICS/OT.
This position requires a strong understanding of both ICS and OT systems, as well as expertise in cyber security practices particularly in ICS\OT project delivery and management (e.g., IEC62443, NIS(R) 2018 & OG86).

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Work with the Technical Assurance and Information Technology teams to ensure alignment in the development of systems and modifications to protect the clients OT environment
• Develop and maintain Performance Standards and ways of working suitable for maintaining ICS/OT compliance in a UK context including the CSMS
• Engage with and ensure alignment with the client’s ways of working for Cyber Security
• Maintain relationship with regulatory bodies for ICS/OT
• Ensure compliance with the clients Minor Modifications process and specific Project Execution Plans (PEPs) where applicable
• Maintain high standards of HSE performance, within area of responsibility and influence
• Responsible for delivery of complex ICS/OT OPEX and CAPEX modifications on schedule and within budget, as per asset requirements
• As a Job Responsible Engineer (JRE), manage technical change through the Authorisation for Alteration (AFA) process within eWork’
• Develop cost estimates and project budgets, including preparing Authorizations for Expenditure (AFE)
• Ensure cost and schedule forecasts are accurate for all scopes
• Ensure robust and accurate Contractor project plans are maintained for all scopes
• Identify, manage and maintain visibility of risks and opportunities relevant to area of responsibility
• Develop and communicate mitigation and contingency plans as appropriate
• Collaborate effectively with Contractors and internal depts, maintaining diligent focus on interface management
• Maintain formal records relating to actions, decisions, technical queries, concession requests, interfaces, change management and variation control
• Support technical evaluation of bids, enquiries, proposals and potential solutions, as appropriate
• Responsible for the timely closeout project scopes, including offshore Workpacks and Procedures and the revision and update to the clients Controlled Documents (via the Technical Closeout Team)
• To follow quality plan & lead the identification and implementation of suitable quality controls
• Arrange and track to completion quality activities such as audits, inspections and NCRs
• Feedback on any quality lessons for future work
• Engage with key vendors/suppliers to assess how they are managing quality on UKBU’s behalf.

Professional Skills and Experiences
• Strong technical understanding of regulations, codes, standards, guidelines, and good practice for the UKCS oil and gas industry particularly related to ICS/OT compliance
• Significant engineering and technical experience gained in an oil and gas engineering and project delivery environment ideally with both operator and contractor experience
• Robust understanding of Operational Technology and control systems
• Sound appreciation of industry technology trends, developments, and challenges
• Ability to foster effective relationships with contractors
• Strong ownership of cost and schedule performance
• Awareness and competence in Quality Assurance and Quality Control preferred.

Educational Qualification and Certifications
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) are amongst the preferred certifications.

Other Requirements
• The role may require travelling offshore for certain business requirements.
