Senior EC&I Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR EC&I ENGINEER to be based at our clients offices in Whitehaven, West Cumbria.

About the Role:

RIT have a requirement for a Senior EC&I Engineer to provide a design service to B39.
This role will involve developing and delivering EC&I design solutions in response to problem definitions and Project Functional Specifications from the client.
The candidate shall be able to reference recent employment history where the EC&I Senior Engineer role has been successfully undertaken and shall be capable of the following as a minimum:
Working within the present EC&I design team to deliver all the typical EC&I design deliverables to the schedule and support meeting key programme delivery milestones.
Producing or checking the required design drawings and documentation for the appropriate base deliverables at all applicable stages of the Sellafield Gated process.
Continuously producing a high standard of quality documentation, drawings and project deliverables.
Accountable for their own effective time management and planning of their work.
Undertaking plant configuration walk downs to confirm and accurately record task baseline details, or the production of outline design schemes.
Attending design reviews and supporting the RE in the presentation of design documentation.
The ability and willingness to guide and mentor EC&I Design apprentices.
Understanding self-limitations and the value/importance of escalation as and when necessary during the design process.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in relevant engineering discipline, with at least 2 years design delivery experience OR other qualification such as BTEC, HNC, HND, with 5-8 years design delivery experience.
Appropriate experience and qualification to undertake DSEAR/ATEX design deliverable originating or checking work.
Ability to demonstrate SQEP against Axiom role E6 Plus
Ability to demonstrate SQEP against SL Designer role SR0754
Competent and proven EC&I Design Engineer, capable of producing designs, schemes, drawings and supporting calculations.
Understand of the roles and applications of the CDM Regulations.
Previous experience producing design packages, suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, risk assessments etc.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

Experience of the B39 facility.
Check and Approve Work Course D03770 completed.
Existing Sellafield Ltd log-on.
Access to Cimage.
Knowledge of the Sellafield Ltd Management System (SLMS) / Sellafield Enterprise Management Systems (SEMS)
