Technical Lead – GIS
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our GIS transformation project as a Technical Lead. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful migration from ESRIs Geometric Network (GN) to Utility Network (UN). As we enter the final year of our three-year project, your expertise will be crucial in interfacing with various workstreams, identifying dependencies, and mitigating bottlenecks to achieve our project goals. Additionally, you will be involved in defining robust data management and webapp creation principles, as well as building strategic roadmaps for future use cases of new GIS functionality within the business
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the technical aspects of the UN migration, ensuring alignment across all workstreams
• Implement ESRI Portal webapp creation and manage data within the ESRI enterprise environment.
• Interface with different workstreams including Data Readiness and Migration, Architecture Definition, System Interfaces, and more.
• Ensure all workstreams are working towards the shared end-goal and provide Workstream Leads support where needed.
• Identify and manage dependencies and bottlenecks between workstreams.
• Provide strategic oversight and direction to ensure timely project completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather regular feedback and ensure GIS systems meet business needs.
• Lead the development of core technical documentation of the new Utility Network through collaboration with Workstream Leads, Product Managers and Solution Architects
• Define and lead the activities required to handover the new solution to the business with minimum impact to business operations
Skillsets Required
• Strong background in GIS and systems integration.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to oversee multiple workstreams.
• Experience in webapp creation and data governance within ESRI Enterprise.
• Experience with ESRIs Utility Network (UN) is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve project dependencies and bottlenecks.
