EC&I Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an EC&I Engineer who would have the option to be based at one of a number of our clients premises across the UK.

About the Role:

To produce engineering design work packages(specification, drawing, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering)that satisfy the legal and functional requirements along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality.

The role will support the CE&I Engineering Lead and Senior CE&I delivery Engineer and experience of the following is preferred:

Site Surveys of electrical assets.
Design of services.
Plant/Site modification (design and implementation).
Support the production of engineering documentation and drawings, including but not limited to Site Survey Reports, Single Line Diagrams (including protection diagrams), Cable Routing, Block Cable Diagrams, CDM Risk Assessments, Cable Calculations Cable Cards, Outline Installation Method Statements, CAE, input to optioneering, etc.
BIM input where required.
Support to Single Discipline Design Review & Production of Minutes of Meetings.
Support to Multi Discipline Design Review & Production of Minutes of Meetings.

The role will involve the production of engineering deliverables to support design development through concept, preliminary and detail design phases as required to the appropriate Sellafield Standards.

Visits to Sellafield in line with Project requirements will also be required.

Essential Experience:

Significant demonstrable experience in CE&I Project Delivery.
Experience of the design delivery of building electrical services.
Competent in the application of CDM Regulation.
Competent in the application of IET wiring Regulations.
Experience of space management, cable routing and cable management.
The ability to work as part of an Integrated delivery team, as well as individually - working within sometimes restrictive time constraints.
Demonstrable excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and be able to interact with people at all levels.

Essential Qualifications:
• Degree qualified CE&I Engineer (or equivalent through enhanced experience).

Desirable Experience:

Experience in use of AutoCAD
Experience in use of AVEVA electrical or similar CE&I design packages,
Experience of any Sellafield or nuclear industry CE&I Design.
