We’re looking for a Cascade Repopulation Outage Specialist. Based at our Capenhurst site location you’ll support the Cascade Repopulation Outage and Commissioning Manager with the successful planning and execution of cascade refurbishments across the Capenhurst site. The role will support delivery of the group refurbishment programme. The role holder will support the following phases assembly, transfer, installation, outage and active commissioning. The responsibilities for commissioning include ensuring all plant safety measures are tested and adhered to, and provide input into the cascade refurbishment report in co-ordination with plant performance.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the production of commissioning schedules for each outage.
• Management of outage laydown areas within plant.
• Preparation for project implementation and commissioning for each outage.
• Responsible for the management of failed machines outside of the cascade hall to storage.
• Contract supervision for maintenance of assets and for installation during an outage.
• Interface between multiple departments in line with the outage plan.
• Raise events and issues with Outage and Commissioning Manager for screening and resolution.
• Establish close inter personal relationships with Cascade Repopulation Project Manager, Cascade Repopulation Outage and Commissioning Manager and Group Asset Management to deliver the strategy.
• Responsible for maintenance of assets, ensuring all assets remain in compliance, and registration of new assets.
• Support B258 assembly production through providing front line maintenance supervision, allocating resources appropriately, setting priorities and managing the asset.
• Provide design support to Centrifuge Assembly to increase and maintain plant output.
• Ensure operational safety is given to all stages of the project both during assembly and installation.
• Ensure that agreed safety and security processes are followed at all stages of assembly, installation and commissioning.
• Commissioning of cascades (inclusive of commissioning plans).

What do you need to thrive in this role?

• Degree qualified or equivalent operational experience
• B025 DAP Commissioning
• B300 IC Commissioning
• DV Clearance
• Contract Supervisor (Construction and Maintenance)
• Production and execution of commissioning documentation
• Chemical or Nuclear Process operations leadership experience
• Knowledge of enrichment processes and technology
• Familiarity with Centrifuge assembly and Installation processes
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to develop solutions to technical problems and present in a logical manner.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient in the use of SAP, Microsoft Office and ReAct applications.
• The ability to manage the performance of both internal and external service providers to ensure that mutually agreed standards, targets and general expectations are met
• Excellent people and performance management skills and the ability to lead an operational team.
