System Programme Manager

We’re looking for a System Programme Manager. Based at our Gronau site, you’ll play a key role within the Corporate Asset Management function. Flexible working is available.

The primary objective is to provide certainty into our long-term capital programme, optimise total cost of ownership and mitigate supply chain risks associated to Core process technology systems.

The System programme managers will be responsible for the co-ordination and development of system strategies which includes contribution to the development of supply chain and supplier management strategies providing key input into future demand and make or buy decisions. The role will centrally co-ordinate obsolescence and replacement programmes and takes responsibility for prioritising demand on suppliers if resources and capacity is constrained.

The System Programme Managers will collaborate closely with technical experts across the entire Group through oversight and co-ordination of cross-functional groups for selected core plant systems and drive the implementation of system strategies together with other members of UTD (i.e. R&D, DA), COO and Group procurement.

The role will further support the Head of Asset Management through the implementation of the Asset management systems across the Group and develop standards and best practices. The role directly reports to the Head of Asset Management.

What you’ll do:

• Ensures an overall strategic Group approach to selected core systems, identifying risks and available improvement opportunities internally and with Group Procurement externally within the supply chain
• Co-ordinates the development of Group requirements in relation to core process technology systems (i.e. demand, volumes, components, timings, cost) through cross-functional groups and acts as implementation assurance (together with other members of UTD, COO and Group Procurement)
• Business case assessment for the selected core process technology system
• Co-ordinates , establishes and implements – together with Group procurement - supply chain solutions associated to core process technology systems
• Ensure technical, demand and cost considerations are incorporated into supply chain strategies, and contribute to the development of supplier relationship plans including for new capital investments.
• Co-ordinates obsolescence management and identifies asset reliability opportunities associated to selected core process technology systems in close co-operation with the cross-functional groups
• Centrally co-ordinates demand, resources and priorities in relation to supply chain requirements for selected core process technology systems
• Supports the Head of Asset Management and other team members in the deployment of the Asset Management Systems

What do you need to thrive in this role?

• Fluent spoken and written German and English
• Experience gained from management of asset management programmes
• Candidates from maintenance and engineering backgrounds would be well suited
• Highly regulated industry experience advantageous
• Developing and implementing systems strategies
• Dealing with a diverse stakeholder community internally and externally
• High degree of social and communication skills coupled with a persistent & collaborative approach towards the objectives
• Ability to analyse programme requirements, identify critical success factors and translate these into bespoke supply strategies
• Pro-active approach to communication and engagement
