Our client Scottish Power Renewables are looking for a Consents Compliance Manager to join their team in Leiston on a hybrid basis. The position will require frequent travel to the project site locations. You will be expected to be present on site at least 4 days per week during main construction works.

It is a contract role (inside IR35) approved until 31st of December 2025 initially (likely to be extended).

with our team leading the Group’s international offshore development.
You will have a key role within the Offshore Development Team. You will be the Onsite Onshore Consent Compliance
Manager delivering consent compliance for the onshore grid connection works during the pre-construction and
construction phases of East Anglia Two and One North offshore windfarms in the UK.
The role encompasses all aspects of consent compliance through scoping strategies and management plans, defining
and managing surveys works and mitigation, obtaining further consents, managing package consent commitments,
onsite and desk-based auditing project compliance with commitments, all necessary statutory stakeholder
engagement, project financial approvals and budgetary control.
Leading and managing a number of multi-disciplinary project teams will be a key feature of the role. Establishing,
fostering and maintaining team spirit and morale through periods of intense workload and activity will be a critical
feature.

Management of process to discharge consents for OFTO works, in line with the agreed schedules and
budgets.
• Support the construction team and packages maintaining an onsite presence to ensure construction activities
are compliant with consent commitments
• Carry out onsite consent compliance audits and report finding in accordance with the consent compliance
audit procedure
• Agreement, management and forecasting of necessary budgets.
• Production of work scopes and specifications for delivery of onshore consent compliance at all stages of a
project as necessary, and manage the completion of these on time and on budget.
• Management of consultants and legal inputs as necessary.
• Input to all commercial agreements and contracts to ensure project risks are mitigated.
Preferrable experience in Consent Compliance on major grid connection projects
• Understanding of the UK Consenting processes, particularly the regulatory framework and consenting process
and awareness of construction methods and requirements.
• Relevant experience in development and construction of offshore windfarms, onshore and offshore grid
connection works / or other equivalent nationally significant infrastructure projects
• Ability to translate technical detail into commercial impact.
Strong planning and analysis skills with the ability to look forward and anticipate problems and thereafter plan
and implement mitigating solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent personal organisation and time management skills.
• High degree of self motivation with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications as a minimum.
‘To be successful in a role you will need to demonstrate as minimum’:
• Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Management, Planning or Environmental Engineering
• Relevant professional qualification
• Extensive relevant experience in discharging pre-commencement conditions for the onshore elements of
major infrastructure projects in the UK
• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
• IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
• Flexible to travel within the UK to site and to other SPR Offices.
