Location: Essen/Remote
Salary: €130-140K + bonus
My client is an established European renewable energy developer/IPP with an international presence and over 2000 employees globally.
They currently have a 5GW pipeline globally and are looking for a Head of Business Development and Transaction Management to support with their continued growth within the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Denmark through M&A and project sales activities.
Tasks:
- Cross-market management and coordination of the activities of the BD & Transaction Management team in the European target markets
- Responsibility for the professional and disciplinary management of employees, including the further development of the team
- Management and coordination of all phases of the M&A processes for the sale of project rights
- Preparation of documents for the transaction process incl. teaser, process letter, information memorandum
- Negotiation of SPAs
- Coordination of external advisors for the due diligence process
- Contact person for (potential) investors
- Identification of suitable sales, investment and participation opportunities in the European target markets, including potential co-investors and alternative financing options (e.g. crowd financing)
- Continuous and independent expansion of the network and close exchange with potential partners
- Responsibility for the implementation of the sales strategy
- Anticipation of market trends
- Support for continuous process improvement and standardization
- Preparation of regular reports on key figures and deviations from targets, including definition of improvement measures
- Active participation in trade fairs, conferences and similar events
- Coordination of other projects in the area of Business Development & Transaction Management
Experience & Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies (degree, diploma) in energy technology, business administration, engineering or comparable qualification with several years of professional experience
- Leadership skills as a leader, empathetic team player and motivator
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A flair and passion for the PV industry paired with the ability to think innovatively and “out of the box”
- Business fluent in German and English
- High level of management and coordination skills with regard to cross-divisional cooperation
- Independent way of working and a clear image of transparency & self-organization
- Negotiation strategist
- Excellent network in the European PV industry
- Several years of sales and management experience in the PV environment, ideally in an M&A context in the sale/purchase of projects/project rights in the utility scale segment
- Comprehensive knowledge of setting up and managing sales organizations, agile management and sales support functions such as sales operations, sales enablement & sales excellence
