Our client Repsol are currently recruiting for a Senior Production Technologist to join their team based in Aberdeen on a permanent basis initially. Job Profile Summary
The Senior Production Technologist is responsible to deliver discipline engineering support across all elements of the well life cycle. The role is responsible to select the most cost effective completion technology that will deliver the optimum completion performance throughout the well lifecycle.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Design well completions operations that are mechanically and operationally fit for purpose for the life of the well
• Conduct tubing stress analysis and lift curve modelling to optimise completion design and post completion production/injection performance
• Prepare completion programmes and programme amendments, and ensuring conformance to RRUK’s Well Engineering and Operations policies and guidelines
• Develop AFE quality cost estimates
• Champion for the contracts related to PT technical services
• Design completion activities to comply with legislation
• Conduct risk assessments on all completion programmes
• Ensure quality processes and procedures are followed at all times
• Ensure SORs and appropriate inspection standards for all safety critical completion equipment are available and in use
• Liaison with sub-surface and production teams to ensure life-of-field requirements are built into completion design
• Manage completion equipment procurement, sub assembly make up, shipping, stock inventory control and disposal of surplus stock
• Ensure that long lead completion equipment are selected and ordered on time to allow for flexibility in the drilling and completion programme
• Manage inventory, ensuring efficient utilisation
• Provide technical support to onshore and offshore teams during completion operations
• Ensure SCM processes are followed and contracts are in place, ensure contract service providers to ensure meet their obligations
• Lead continuous improvement
• Investigate incidents, capturing root cause and lessons learned
• Engineering input to well integrity issues involving the design of the completion, such as MAASP calculation
• Engineering input to well intervention projects concerning material selection, flow restriction modelling, sand face optimisation, artificial lift optimisation
• Engineering input to P&A activity around completion recovery
• Partner with the central team to secure the necessary expertise, following the Repsol standard of working
• Collaborate effectively within a Wells Team for streamlined project execution
• Prioritise safety and efficiency in project planning and delivery
• Ensure to focus on performance and cost management to meet project goals
• Develop fit for purpose technical and commercial solutions for project success
• Utilise digital data for informed decision-making throughout projects

To follow quality plan & lead the identification and implementation of suitable quality controls

Arrange and track to completion quality activities such as audits, inspections and NCRs

Feedback on any quality lessons for future work

Engage with key vendors/suppliers to assess how they are managing quality on UKBU’s behalf.

Professional Skills and Experiences
• Experienced in the North Sea production technology
• Proven track record of working with financial budgets
 ?
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 ?
Awareness and competence in Quality Assurance and Quality Control preferred.

Educational Qualification and Certifications
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical etc.) or related fields
• IWCF (or equivalent) Well Control Certificate (Drilling Supervisor Level)
• Relevant certification including BOSIET and medical.
