HR Advisor (Maternity Cover – 12 months Fixed Term Contract)

Monday – Friday/37.5 hours

Location – Bolton, Greater Manchester

The Company:

We are one of the UK’s leading FF&E manufacturers and supply specialists; ensuring spaces have the right furniture, fixtures and equipment to both support and inspire your people and we have recently formed part of the OCEE International Group.

Our dedicated HR function plays a vital role in maintaining our company culture and operational excellence, and due to upcoming maternity leave, we are currently seeking an experienced HR professional to deliver this role on a fixed-term contract.

The Role:

In this role, you will be the HR lead on day-to-day operations and administration of the function. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth HR processes, assisting with employee queries, and maintaining accurate HR records. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering a high-quality HR service.

Key responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: Manage and maintain employee records, update HR databases, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Employee Support: Serve as a point of contact for staff queries, providing timely and accurate responses regarding HR policies and procedures.
  • Recruitment Assistance: Support the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and onboarding new hires.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in the roll-out and communication of HR policies and initiatives.
  • Compliance: Help ensure adherence to employment laws and company standards in all HR practices.
  • General Group Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Group HR Director, contributing to various projects and process improvements across a group of 3 businesses.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience in an HR administrative or officer role is essential.
  • A good understanding of HR practices, employment law, and data protection.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with a willingness to learn
  • Must be able to travel between sites as and when required.
