Morson are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Store Person to join our clients’s team in Teesside. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Inventory Management, hold a Forklift Truck license, Understand the Importance of IT systems integrity, awareness of Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and export control.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintaining accuracy of part location and parts are issued utilising Inventory Management database.
• Safeguard stores operations by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. • Control the management of Draken tooling to and from shop floor and when requiring maintenance and calibration. • Manage and monitor shelf-life controlled items per stores procedures. • Support the Stores & Logistics Manager in conducting periodic and annual stock taking as required. • Hold a full Forklift license for use in operations in support of stores functions. • Manage and monitor all shelf-life controlled items per Stores procedures. • Deliveries checked to ensure correct documentation and order requirements. • Conduct Goods Inwards Inspection, reviewing and validating paperwork compliance in accordance with Draken procedures. • Maintain accurate stock transactions on the IT system. • Package outbound items are labelled in accordance with client, OEM, HSE or DGSA requirements. • Ensure that all import and export requirements are completed in accordance with current HMRC legislation and procedures. • Ensuring compliance with all client Procedures and External Procedures relating directly or indirectly to the role. • Any other duties that are reasonably requested by their direct management within the capabilities and skills of the successful candidate.
Core Competencies
• Proven experience in a technical store or warehouse environment ideally in dealing with aircraft parts
• Familiarity with DGSA, ITAR, and export control regulations. • Valid forklift operator’s license. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Should be literate and have basic numeracy skills. (essential) • Skilled at using IT skills Microsoft Office and Outlook. (essential) • BTEC in basic Storekeeping. (desirable)
Experience:
• Previous storekeeping duties ideally in a Commercial and Military aerospace store. (desirable)
• Part 145 experience (desirable) • Full UK driving licence. (essential) • Previous worldwide despatch experience (desirable) • Have a basic understanding of aircraft parts (desirable) • Aerotrac experience (desirable)

• Packaging materials to defined standards that minimise risk of damage to parts during shipping
• Attention to detail on Draken systems ensuring input data is accurate at all times • Able to use initiative to solve inbound queries with the appropriate departments • Ensuring appropriate and timely throughput of Inventory of all items to meet Operational demands
The role is an initial 3-6 month contract.
Candidates will be required to gain UK Security clearance.
