Morson are recruiting a forklift truck driver for our aerospace client in Portsmouth. This is a great opportunity to work on a rolling/temp to perm contract for a company that manufactures fuel tanks and emergency floatation devices for helicopters and other small aircraft.
Candidates must hold their own FLT licence and a full driving licence.
Role
This role is part of the Supply Chain Function and whilst your responsibilities are predominantly focused on Logistics activities, there may be the requirement based on your skill set and experience to support the wider function when necessary due to business needs
• Follow standard work for material handling
• Perform all activities in accordance with safety and quality rules
• Records movements of material in the transactional records systems
• Make proposals to improve safety, quality, efficiency
Key accountabilities
Ensure the safety procedures are followed by staff and drivers
Process stock in line with site SLA’s
Support stores stocktaking processes to ensure a robust count
Unloading supplier deliveries using POV’s
Good knowledge of Logistical SAP transactions and processes
Moves/handles materials between production cells
Generates travel and drawing packs
Use of material handling equipment for material movements
Pick/kit materials for production and issues from SAP
Receive, inspect and store inbound (internal) deliveries
Pick, pack and ship product for onward delivery, internally and externally
Delivery movements and collection between building and processes
Print and prepare Work To Lists
Provide material call off lists for stores
Raises quality notifications to record non-conforming product issues
Recording supplier non conformities within SAP and the appropriate registers
Support quality investigations, either supplier triggered or internal manufacturing
37 Hours per week split over 9 Days – 5 Days one week 4 Days the next week rotating weekly
Week 1 – Mon – Thurs 8.25 hours/day 7.30am – 4.15pm
Week 2 – Mon - Thurs 8.25 hours/day 7.30am – 4.15pm, Friday 8 hours 7.30 am – 4pm
Includes 28 paid holidays per year.
