Project Manager

£30.42 – £39.55 per hour

Morson are currently recruiting for a Project Manager based with one of our Defence clients in Samlesbury within their facilities management team. You would be responsible for the coordination of the design, construction planning and implementation of a wide range of infrastructure projects across Defence facilities. This will range from refurbishments, security system implementations, lighting implementations and carbon neutral infrastructure. We’re looking to recruit a Project Manager with a background in mechanical, electrical, lighting, security or similar engineering projects.

The role is being offered on a 12-month contract basis, with possibility of extension or permanent conversion. It will be full time on site in Samlesbury, at a rate of £30.42 per hour PAYE or £39.55 per hour Umbrella inside IR35 across a 37 hour week.

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal and external construction teams to deliver projects on time and to scope.
  • Interpreting requirements, to support the preparation of designs, implementing plans, specification approvals and financial business cases.
  • Responsible for all project design phases following the RIBA Stages.
  • Responsible for installations in accordance with the current company, statutory health & safety legislation, Building control and CDM regs.
  • Managing suppliers in accordance with supplier management procedures.
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with company and departmental quality procedures.
  • Providing budgetary and financial management justifications.

Requirements

  • Experience of Project Management for engineering projects from design through to delivery.
  • Degree or HND/C qualified in Construction and/or Building Services is required, however other similar disciplines will be considered.
  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in managing Health & Safety (e.g. NEBSOH General Certificate, IOSH).
  • Knowledge of Construction and/or Plant & Equipment project installations.
  • Experience of supplier management in an engineering environment.
  • Previous experience in the Design Management of Construction activities.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
