Supplier Quality Manager

Morson are currently recruiting a commercially aware, Supplier Quality Manager to be based at a supplier in Sibiu, Romania for our UK Defence Client.

The role will involve the following activities/responsibilities:

• Act as a representative for the business based 3/4 days per week in the offices and onsite of a Romanian supplier

• Work with the supplier project team to ensure that they deliver to the agreed delivery schedule, quality requirements and budget

• Chair daily standups with supplier project team to identify and track actions through to closure

• Escalate issues within both the supplier and the business to the appropriate team/stakeholder for support and resolution

• Develop and report weekly KPIs highlighting supplier performance and present to cross functional/businesses leadership teams

• Identify supplier production and operational delivery risks and develop a mitigation approach in agreement with the supplier

• Provide straightforward guidance/recommendations to support resolution of risks/issues impacting product build quality and timelines

Skills/experience

Excellent leadership and man- management skills

Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

Excellent organisational and follow-up skills

Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making

Very Commercially aware

As the role is based in Romania some fluency in this language would be an advantage.

Contract of 12 months - Rates to be negotiated
