Our client, in partnership with Scottish Water and Northumbrian Water, is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their dynamic Water team in Glasgow. As part of a growing, collaborative team, you will support the delivery of various projects within a major capital investment programme, ensuring technical excellence, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.
Your role will involve leading the technical delivery of project teams, utilising a broader technical network to maximise innovation. You will also manage and mentor engineers within the team, guiding them towards achieving holistic technical outcomes. Skills:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience in the water industry
- Chartered or Incorporated membership of relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM)
- Leadership and team management skills
- Experience in Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management
- Experience in Trunk Mains and Large Diameter Pipeline Design
- Experience in Service Reservoirs
- Experience in Clean Water Treatment
- Strong client focus and service excellence ethos
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Software/Tools:
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- MicroDrainage
- Microsoft Office Suite
Certifications & Standards:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with ICE or CIWEM
