Environmental Manager - major construction contractor with a strong order book and excellent progression/opportunities - Wakefield, West Yorkshire base, with projects across the North of England - £50-60k plus car/allowance
Job Purpose
To support the Environment and Sustainability Manager and the wider construction site teams with the effective implementation of the environmental management system, including assisting with environmental planning, reviewing records and giving guidance on physical site environmental controls.
Key Accountabilities
- Assess and report on site environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives via our digitised reporting system
- Drive completeness and accuracy of records within our waste reporting system, both internally and in our supply chain
- Review the suitability and effectiveness of physical environmental control measures
- Support the ongoing review of site-level environmental plans, including aspects and impacts registers
- Provide assistance with environmental incident investigations
- Provide site teams with guidance on environmental legislation and other requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of environmental controls and management systems within the wider construction industry
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation
- Experience of working with an ISO 14001 certified management system

Qualifications and Training
- Full UK driving licence (car allowance or car is available)
